About JR Music Supply

JR Music Supply LLC is a wholesale distributor of orchestral string instruments and accessories manufactured primarily in Europe. Based in Woonsocket, Rhode Island, we represent many small, independent workshops throughout Europe and China.

Our aim is to provide quality instruments and accessories to a vast array of musicians at a competitive price.

In 1984, two musicians in Bloomington, Indiana embarked on a journey to establish a wholesale distributorship specializing in orchestral string instruments and accessories. Fast forward four decades and JR Music Supply stands out as one of the few distributors focusing on new European master, workshop, and factory instruments, but also boasting a fine collection of rare and antique pieces as well as a small, carefully curated Chinese offering, catering to violin dealers and music shops.

Currently representing a dozen esteemed master luthiers, most of whom are based in Poland, JR Music Supply has cultivated personal relationships with each artisan, fostering a deep understanding of their craft. 

A brief inspection of our selection of new European master instruments reveals an extraordinary level of craftsmanship, offering remarkable value to our customers. Our Calin Wultur workshop instruments are recognized worldwide for offering professional-level workmanship and sound for a modest price.

 Our Jet Carbon Bows represent some of the finest choices available. We also offer Pernambuco and Brazilwood bows from a highly skilled workshop in China. But great instruments and bows are not all that JR has to offer our dealers.
